Counselling Service

Picture
Clinical counselling helps people improve their mental, emotional and physical health while encouraging positive relationships with self, others and the larger community. Building a trusting, open and honest relationship between yourself and others is one of the most important aspects to wellbeing as it allows you to explore, process and gain skills for life. Therapy can help a person gain a new understanding about his or her problems and to acquire new ways of coping with and solving those problems. Therapy can help a person to develop new skills, shift perspectives and change behaviour patterns. Counselling often contributes to an increased understanding of self and others.

-Counselling increases your ability to cope using skills to manage stress

-Counselling addresses points of tension so you can change what is not working

-Counselling often contributes to a deep understanding of yourself and those you love

What Janine offers…

Picture
She offers a place for you to explore and learn about yourself in a deeper and more authentic manner. She does this by offering a non-judgmental listening ear with fresh perspectives and tools to explore your challenge. Two heads are better than one. As she listens to your story, she looks for helpful ways you have already been managing without even knowing. She will then help you build on and provide specific skills and practices to help you manage and grow your life your chosen direction. She will also offer genuine professional feedback. Her goal is to help you create possibilities in your life so you can enhance or continue to find joy.

Loneliness does not come from having no people around you, but from being

unable to communicate the things that seem important to you.
