Derek Defaria - M.OSC.c (Master in Practice Diploma of Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences)
Derek Defaria grew up in Ontario and moved to British Columbia in his early 20’s. . Following this he lived in Australia and travelled the world finally coming back to his home roots in Ontario where he attended the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy. Derek completed a Master in Practice Diploma of Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy in Hamilton, Ontario. The M.OMSc Program is a 4 year, professional manual Osteopathic designation with over 4200+ hours of clinical, hands-on practice, and instruction from experts in the field. After graduation, Derek was drawn back to BC where he relocated to Kelowna with his family.
Derek has always been involved in sports including; snowboarding, hockey, lacrosse & golf. It was during a sporting injury that he personally learnt the impact of Osteopathy. Growing up in a house with a mother that was an Osteopathic Practitioner, he saw the lasting effects Osteopathy made on people’s lives and this was something that he wanted to carry on.
Derek is a member of OSTCAN. The OSTCAN is a professional association recognized by the Canadian insurance industry.
