Janine Thompson, MSW, RSW, Counselling & Psychotherapy

Janine has attained over 13 years experience working in both the public and private sectors. She achieved a Master of Social Work in clinical counselling from the University of Calgary as well as a Bachelor of Social Work. She is a Registered Social Worker with the British Columbia College of Social Workers. Her education and experience in mental health and addictions have allowed her a considerable amount of knowledge in a variety of areas that impact mental wellbeing. 

​She works with individuals and couples of all abilities, ages, genders and sexual orientations. She helps people through tough times, providing them the skills and methods to live their richest lives. There is no shame in asking for help and no better time than the present moment to find joy. 
Janine works with a diversity of people who are impacted by a myriad of adverse life circumstances. She is well versed in many mental health matters and treats each of her clients with a respectful, supportive, safe and kind demeanor. Whether you have lost a loved one, are facing difficult circumstances or have survived a traumatic event, Janine will be by your side through your therapeutic journey.

Many extended health plans offer partial or full coverage for counselling services provided by a Registered Social Worker. Counselling services provided by a Registered Social Worker are GST and PST exempt and are included in the medical expense tax credit. Official receipts for both health insurance and tax purposes will be provided after each session.
