Kinesiologist treating a patients back pain.

Kinesiology

Kinesiology is the scientific study of human movement and physical activity. It encompasses a range of disciplines including anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, neuroscience, and psychology to understand how the body moves and functions. A kinesiologist is a professional who has expertise in assessing movement patterns and designing exercise programs to improve health, fitness, and performance. They use their knowledge of kinesiology to evaluate and treat injuries, prevent and manage chronic diseases, and help individuals achieve their fitness goals.
Kelowna is a city located in British Columbia, Canada, which has a strong community of kinesiologists who work with individuals of all ages and abilities to optimize their physical health and well-being. Kinesiology services in Kelowna include injury rehabilitation, chronic disease management, personal training, and sports performance enhancement.
Whether you are recovering from an injury, managing a chronic health condition, or looking to improve your athletic performance, kinesiology can be helpful in designing personalized exercise programs tailored to your unique needs and goals. Kinesiologists use evidence-based practices to help you move better, feel better, and achieve optimal physical function.

  2. "The Effects of Kinesiology Taping on Proprioception in Healthy Adults: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis" by Lee et al. (2020). This study found that kinesiology taping can improve proprioception, or the body's sense of position and movement, in healthy adults.
  3. "The Effectiveness of Kinesiology Taping in the Management of Chronic Low Back Pain: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis" by Lim et al. (2019). This study found that kinesiology taping can be effective in reducing pain and disability in individuals with chronic low back pain.
  4. "Kinesiology Intervention Improves Cognitive Control in Children With Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder: A Randomized Controlled Trial" by Tsai et al. (2019). This study found that kinesiology interventions, such as balance training and eye-hand coordination exercises, can improve cognitive control in children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
  5. "The Effects of Kinesiology Taping on Pain and Disability in Participants With Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome: A Randomized Controlled Trial" by Vithoulka et al. (2021). This study found that kinesiology taping can reduce pain and improve function in individuals with patellofemoral pain syndrome.
